The Fun with Girders Show

Hello and welcome to the "Fun with Girders Show"! The delivery of the 2" x 10" x 20' pressure treated boards arrived on Wednesday afternoon. A total of 64 of these boards will be used to make 16 girders to support the second floor. Four boards are bolted together to create the girder.

With temperatures in the mid 90's on Friday, I was still able to get a couple of these girders fabricated. I figure I should be able to do two to three of these girders per day. Of course, I'm sure there will be some rain delays. So, I expect it will take the next two weeks to complete this phase. Unless something earth shattering happens, I probably will not update the journal for a couple of weeks.
